It’s always been about the chemistry for me.

I grew up in Westfield, NJ where high school theater taught me a love of not being on a sports team. Given the choice between running drills as punishment or holding hands with a girl on stage, I felt my choice was clear. Instead of staying out late to go to parties, my friends and I were shooting and editing videos we wrote in the basement to make ourselves laugh. They aired our stuff on Public Access TV36. I had hit the big time.

I graduated from Tisch School of the Arts, Department of Dramatic Writing and moved to Brooklyn, NY. As I began to find my voice as a writer, I worked in nearly every department of film/tv production, and I played in bands at night and the weekends to feed my hunger for collaboration, creativity and performance.

The music took off. I became a professional touring bassist and vocalist, playing dive bars and arenas with Wheatus (Sony), Her & Kings County (Warner Music Nashville), Steed Lord (Iceland), Kacie Sheik (NYC), among others. But touring is hard, and bands are hard, even when everything’s ideal. The people you work with make all the difference.

I returned to NYC. To writing. To film production. And I rediscovered acting. I was mentored by a legendary master teacher, Bill Esper, and found a way to feed my artistic self that built on every step I’ve taken. Now I see great chemistry everywhere I look: film, theatre, tv, audio plays, and even VR.

And I’ve found it in my communities: The Collective, Naked Angels, Stillwater Writers, The Actors Gym, and the Nylon Fusion and New Ambassadors theatre companies. I’ve also had great fun working in class and on set for NYU and Columbia grad film students.
